First- I’m not going to be here for the next week, so until next Thursday, send any news etc to ozoneocean or Spang! or Black_Kitty!

Hey folks, we’ve got a new bug on the site (fun!) as of last Thursday where people in Japan, and some in Canada, can’t view images on Drunk Duck at all whatsoever. Awesome! I’ve done all I can but there’s no word on what the problem is or when it will be fixed. So, to all comic owners who think they have readers in Japan and/or Canada, you might want to mirror your new comic images on Photobucket, Imagesocket, or etc. If you put a link to that image in your author’s comment, then those people can click it and see your comic. I’d also advise any affected people in Japan or Canada to send a PQ or leave a comment on the comics you’re missing out on, asking them to do this (because not everyone reads the news anymore).

There’s also a forum thread that is the major keeping-track place of the situation.

Don’t forget that the Comic Book Challenge is still going on… time is running out! The entry deadline is May 31st!

Did you notice there was a new Creator Interview up on Monday? Well there was! It is from heymelby of Chat the Fat Kid!

The Comic Review forum has been moving really slow lately- lots of people want reviews, but not so many want to do them! It’s not very fair to expect the same 6-8 people to do all the reviews all the time, is it? I know I’d get burned out. Why don’t you head over and help out a bit? You might find a comic you like, and you might even LEARN something (if you’re so inclined)! Plus, once you’ve done a few reviews yourself, you can sign up to get your own comic reviewed!

Xolta, an adult comic that is truly not intended for readers under 18, reaches 175 pages on Friday. The comic also just ended the first book Xolta: Genesis and is starting the next book, coincidentally called Exodus (and I might even try adding a plot this time). And to help celebrate the new book and milestone, there are 3 possible covers for the Exodus book that folks can vote on (posted on Monday). Thanks!

The News will Rise Again

Today’s featured comic is The Emerald City!
You never knew Seattle was so… colorful. Or dangerous. In The Emerald City, the men are muscled and the women wear microskirts, the bad guys are monstrous psychos with cool hair, and people die left and right in some pretty gruesome ways. It’s not all random violence (though some is, like at the wings joint…), this is all connected to events 11 years ago.

The Imaginary Illustrations of Mister Cheatham by chee2424 has reached 25 pages! Although if there are pages, are the illustrations imaginary anymore? Hmm…

DJAB has a double announcement! His excellent comic Shades has reached 125 pages as of today, and he has had a very positive review about Shades posted on Ain’t It Cool News Comic Reviews! (You know the site by that Harry Knowles guy.) As for the comic, it’s in the middle of a fantasy sequence, so if you’re tired of boring old realism go check out the mystical demon fangs with big pointy teeth (unless you are Indiana Jones maybe).

And this one was from Monday, I forgot to post it here…

Hello, sorry the newspost and feature are a bit late today. I plumb forgot. Well, I didn’t really completely forget. I completely forgot all weekend but then this morning I remembered, but when I went onto the site it was chugging along too slow to do anything. Then I had work all day, then I had to walk the dog, and eat dinner, and then I had to watch a movie from 1970 about a machine that takes over the world called COLOSSUS.

But now I can do the feature and the newspost.

Monday’s feature is Project Kokiro!

A trio of fairly bubble-headed terrorists breaks into a high security compound to steal the time travel project Kokiro. They DO have a reason for wanting to go to the past (maybe) and although they seem to get in a lot of fights, they are (sort of) getting some kind of job done. If you’re looking for a colorful, whimiscal, funny comic with lots of flailing arms and strange facial expressions, check this one out!

Also, as indicated in the newspost title… the image bugs should be fixed. ALL of them. I think the thumbnails might still sometimes show the wrong rating, but the whole image updating thing, comic pages, comic thumbnails, avatars… it should all be working now. If not, let us know.

FINALLY! I feel like we should have fireworks or something…

Milestones!

worstcase has reached 100 Faults! Sounds like a pretty flawed human being to me… ;)

Dumok is pleased to announce that WarMage has reached 150 pages!

Comicdeoxyribonucleicacid by rufus_edge has reached 25 pages of comicdeoxyribonucleicgoodness! And if I spelled any of that wrong I don’t wanna know.

This last Monday was Raw Fish’s 1st year anniversary on this site!! And to thank everyone for keeping me drawing/on this site, I have made a series of flash movies. These movies will contain a slew of cameos and maybe some surprises. I will set a link to each movie starting on the 7th of July. Each and every Monday I will post a new link to a movie, until all movies have been posted. Now, I do not want any one to get their hopes up, I am NOT a flash master, and these movies are in the Raw Fish style.

Geez, set us up and knock us down why don’t you :) I’m sure the movies will be great!
